First day of Spring, 2016
Hi Friends,
Teri and I just wanted to remind you that the Retreat brochure is going up on:
Tuesday, March 22 at 12:00 noon.
We have posted this on our website home page and on the retreat site for about a week, but I thought I would remind everyone on this blog that the time is almost here.  Yay!!!!  We are super excited and know that you will be too.  We have wonderful teachers who are looking forward to being here, and we have so many things already in the planning.  We hope that you can come.
The brochure will give you the basic information that you will need to find out about this year's retreat.  The registration page at the end can also be accessed separately so that you can fill it out and fax it back in.  If you want to fill it out and scan it to email back to us, you may do that as well.  If you can figure out how to fill it out and email it back on your own computer, that will be fine.
A few things to keep in mind about this retreat:
•  Most of the projects are worked on 32-36 count linen.  If you are not comfortable with this--practice up.
•  All participants need to stay at the designated Canyons properties within the Shepherd's Retreat room block.
•  Once you have signed up, if you have any questions about the retreat, please call us and talk to us. Don't assume that anyone else knows the answer to your question, and Teri is not very quick about getting back to comments on Facebook.  Just give us a quick call and we will be happy to answer your questions right away.
We have the sweetest teachers and the nicest people who come to this retreat.  We are going to have a blast, so I hope to see you there.
fondly, Tina

A snippet of the Market

We have returned with boxes and suitcases filled to bursting with wonderful new things.  Our market week is starting today and will continue through the week.  So stop by and see what is the latest and greatest.  I will take more photos and add to this blog, so please check back.  Here is a glimpse of our market time.....

Teri and Ann had a great time on Sunday going around to lots of people to get photos of them and their things.  I could honestly hear them all down the hallways laughing their heads off.  I think that is the best part of the market seeing friends and catching up on lives and just laughing.  Isn't that Life at its best?  Just take a stroll about with them as they go visiting and enjoying great friendships and designs...

Alma shows off the Garden Club so far....Gorgeous!!!

Barb and Alma had their Garden Club in their room and it was very fun and inspiring to see it up to this point.  It is so lovely, I can't wait to see all the rest of them.

When we stopped into Paulette's room, (Plum Street Samplers) we were thrilled to see Lori from La D Da visiting.  She is on the left, next to Paulette, Sophie- Paulette's daughter is on the other side.  Ann Robbins from R & R is on the right.

This is our great friend, Diane, from Puffin and Co.  She was most surprised when I came by to take her picture, but isn't it just fun.  She is showing her new Mini Needle Nannies.  I love them.  Tina wants the flower and I want the bee and the sheep and the bird and maybe the heart and the cat...ok, maybe every one of them.

I love visiting with Niki. She is such a darling.  Here are her new designs... super fun.

Nashville Market - It's Here!!!

The Nashville market is here, and so are we!
We arrived Thursday evening and met Jeannette Douglas and her husband, Dale, at a great restaurant in Nashville.  Tina had seen it advertised on the Food network, and we thought we would give it a go.  Yummy food, and great company. That is always my favorite part of markets--visiting with all the wonderful friends we have made throughout the years.

Then on to the hotel to start setting up.  First we move all the furniture around in our room - which is no easy feat.... the couch is soooo heavy (never meant to ever be moved, ever) and this year came attached to a long chaise lounge.  Then I started decorating the front window.  I kind of think Tina was giving the chaise a spin, she said she was working, but I think that is hard to do with her eyes closed on a lounge chair.  Now it is Saturday morning,  almost time to open our door and show our newest designs.  Here is what we have, I will add to this blog later today as I get out shopping.  Definitely going to have fun.

It is late here and I am fading quickly.   I will add more tomorrow, or at least Monday when I get home.

Nashville market preview

Leap Day, 2016

Well...
All our boxes are shipped
We're ready to go
They're waiting for us at the Nashville show
I hate to leave the shop and say goodbye
But the market's comin'
In just a few days
The shoppin's waiting
What fun is in store
Already I'm so excited
I could cry...

Dear Friends.
Yes, it is indeed Market time.  Yay!  We have been super busy getting ready for the show, and it is hard to believe that it is almost finally here.  Everyone at the shop is either a-buzz or a-wiped with kitting, packing and trying to find all of the things that Teri and I keep losing, so it is a good thing that it is finally here.  I think we all need some sleep.  I know that Teri and I do. How quickly it comes and just as quickly goes by and we will be back with our boxes again filled with wonderful treasures from friends around the world.  It is always exciting and exhausting but so worth it.  This has been an interesting year, as many designers have already posted their new pieces that they will be bringing to Nashville, so we thought that we would share them with you.  Of course I am still stitching on some of ours so you and I will both be surprised on Saturday to see what we actually have pulled together.  We have some sneak peaks below and first thing Saturday morning we will post all the photos of our new things for you to see.  Exciting!  But Teri has worked hard to get a lot of new things posted below, so have fun scrolling down to see what she has found.  Come Friday night, she will be flying around the hotel placing orders and picking up great things to bring back to the shop.  Watch our blog over the weekend as we will post some fun surprises at the end of the days.  Remember...if you want just to pick up something in particular or save one of these fabulous designs for you, just give us a call and we will be sure to get it for you.  Have fun perusing...
