January on the driveway...
Hi Friends,
Wow it has been a while. This blog is one of my New Year's resolutions. I have missed writing to you all, and I am going to give it my best effort to write way more often. We will see how that goes for sure, but I am very hopeful. Winter came late to us here, but it has made a pretty good entrance. Lots of snow, and shoveling and maneuvering on the ice. But that is Winter and we need lots of snow to bring us water in the summer. So...keep on snowing.
Christmas is over, a new year has begun and we are already on the brink of February. How did that happen? But then the good thing is that days are getting longer. I can leave work in the almost day light and that is so lovely. Valentines Day is fast approaching, and then Market will be looming in our future...and so the year slips along pulling us with it. In spite of this, I hope we can all slow down just a bit and take time to read a good book, cook something amazing, and of course stitch. I have decided that I am in my happy place when I have a project that I can work on for even a short moment every evening. I am about to start on a sweet Christmas sampler that I drew during the Advent season, so hopefully I will have it ready this coming Fall...so relax Time and cooperate with a slow stitcher.
Monday Musings:
We have been busy at the Bush. In November, we started doing live videos through our FB page and it has been a lot of fun. They are called Monday Musings, and we come to you each Monday evening at 5:30 Mountain time. The little videos are then archived so that you can view them later at your own convenience. They are sort of eclectic in design--or non design--and include things that are new around the shop, often some instruction, and sometimes even a crazy recipe or project. It is our simple way to share all the fun and funny things that are happening in our little corner of the world. Hopefully it brings some inspiration, insight, warmth and laughter into your world as well.
Retreat 2024
Registration for Shepherd's Retreat 2024 opens at 12 noon Mountain time on Wednesday, January 31st.
You will find more information about this on our website under the Retreat tab at the left on the homepage. www.shepherdsbush.net
At that time the brochure will be available online which will show a brief schedule and the list of teachers in each of the 2 tracks. We have a wonderful group coming this Fall and both tracks are fantastic. You will need to be able to stitch on fine linen--32-36 count. You will fill out the registration form at that time and email it back to us. If you are accepted in the Retreat, the only charge you will have in February is the $50 non-refundable registration fee. Good luck!
